✎ for press, streamers and curious robots
Deprecation is a top-down action roguelike where you code your own weapons to stop AI from taking your job. You play the last engineer at a company that replaced everyone else with AI. It can't fire you, so it sends the robots.

Management replaced the whole company with software. Everyone else was "transitioned". You were not on the list. Your weapon is a laptop and your attacks are a script. Hold each floor against robot coworkers, level up, grow your 401(k), and take the elevator to the next one.

Deprecation is made by one person, Tibo, an engineer building it in public. The website you are on is part of the joke: an AI company that replaced its staff, and the one human it legally can't fire. Every step of the game is written down in the devlog.
